Inaugural Wally Bradley Award Presented

Rotary club of Encounter Bay President Ken Carter presents Andrea with the Wally Bradley Award and a cheque for $400Andrea Miles was presented with the Inaugural Wally Bradley Award at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Encounter Bay. The Award, named for the Charter President of the Club, has been established to support young people in Victor Harbor who show initiative and commitment in their field of education or training but who may be experiencing difficulty in continuing their studies or accessing other education or training due to hardship or disadvantage.

Andrea,17, plans to study at TAFE and aims to complete a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and Skin Care. She said the award would be an enormous help for her to achieve her goal.

The Wally Bradley Award is an example of a 'Named Fund' created by the Rotary Club of Encounter Bay and managed by the Fleurieu Community Foundation.
