Background

The Board of the Fleurieu Community Foundation Ltd has the responsibility to ensure the continuity of the Foundation and its future financial sustainability for the ultimate benefit of the community that it serves.

The Board regularly reviews the operating policies and procedures governing its operations.

Constitution & Structure

The Fleurieu Community Foundation Ltd operates as a Company Limited by Guarantee. This company then acts as a Trustee for two Trust Funds -

The Open Fund - this fund receives contributions through donations, bequests, and any fundraising efforts but does not have Deductible Gift Recipient status.

The Public Fund - this fund has Deductible Gift Recipient status (DGR2) but can only make disbursements to organisations listed on the DGR1 register.
