Assisting COMMUNITY
The Fleurieu Community Foundation was proud to assist the local community
The Fleurieu Community Foundation is the Fleurieu Peninsulas’ local philanthropic organisation. First established in October 2010 the Fleurieu Community Foundation has a long term goal to build a permanent fund or corpus to benefit the local community both now and into the future. Once a permanent fund or corpus is established the proceeds from the fund would be distributed in the form of grants to charitable organisations and projects across the Fleurieu.

The Foundation will achieve its mission and objectives through its grant-making program and is committed to the development of effective, community based philanthropy in the Fleurieu.
The Foundation actively supports individuals and families on the Fleurieu who might be experiencing financial hardship. For example, the Foundation financially supports the employment of a Homelessness Early Intervention Officer and additionally has recently funded a financial capacity building program known as SEEDS OF ABUNDANCE.
The Fleurieu Community Foundation Homelessness Fund provides grants with the aim of reducing homelessness and housing stress in the Fleurieu through timely access to stable housing and supports that enable everyone to connect to people and places and lead a better life.
The Back-to-School grants are part of a national program facilitated by the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) that helps rural and remote children and young people access quality educational experiences.
Youth Arts Participation grants support financially disadvantaged young people who live in the Fleurieu region, to continue to be involved in arts and cultural activities.
The Stay in Sport grant aims to provide assistance to junior sports participants on the Fleurieu, who would otherwise drop out of playing sport in their communities due to disadvantage or financial hardship; and who are unable to afford compulsory club fees, uniforms &/or sports equipment.
The Building Community Wellbeing grants maintain a focus on community health and wellbeing, community development, education, environmental and cultural projects.
The Fleurieu Community Foundation has a range of awards and other supports for our community.
Supporting the Fleurieu Community Foundation either financially or non-financially is an investment in the future of the Fleurieu and will help to create self-reliant, confident, strong and connected communities.
