2013 Community Grants Program Recipients Announced

Thankyou to everyone who applied to our first Community Grants round - 'Building Community Wellbeing'.

Congratulations to.....

  • Community Living Project Inc who made an applicationfor $400 in support of a young man from Goolwa who has Cerbral Palsy to set up a micro-enterprise project in the community. This young man has experienced barriers to gaining employment in the past, he will use the money to buy equipment to enable him to run a small lawn mowing round, become self relient and engage more meaningfully with the local community.
  • Youth Opportunities Association (SA) Inc who were awarded $500 to help fund aYoung Personal Leaders Program with 18 Year 10 students from Eastern Fleurieu School in Strathalbyn. The program aims to build resiliency and motivation to achieve and re-engage with thier education, families and community. 

The Building Community Wellbing Grant Program aims to assist community groups to deliver community programs and projects that will improve the quality of life, independence and well being of people from within the Fleurieu Community, and reflect the Fleurieu Community Foundation’s Mission

 ‘Building a stronger and more resilient Fleurieu community’.
